One of Vaco’s premier clients is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) out of banking, PE, capital markets, leasing and loans space, with deep expertise in High Growth, Financial Analysis and Fund Sourcing to drive the company’s financial strategy and support scalable growth. This executive will be part of the company leadership and serve as the financial architect of the organization, playing a critical role in optimizing capital structure, identifying funding opportunities, and enhancing financial performance through data-driven planning and analysis. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role ideal for a finance leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to play a key role in shaping the financial future of a high-growth organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Fund Sourcing & Capital Strategy:
  • Drive capital sourcing efforts, including debt, equity, and alternative financing structures (e.g., securitizations, structured credit facilities).
  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, capital markets participants, private equity, and lending partners.
  • Oversee execution of capital raising initiatives, ensuring alignment with growth objectives and risk management frameworks.
  • Optimize the company’s capital structure and liquidity position through active treasury and funding oversight.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
  • Lead all FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and strategic modeling to support informed decision-making at the executive level.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate profitability, growth scenarios, and capital allocation strategies.
  • Deliver financial insights that drive operational efficiencies and inform strategic initiatives, including product expansion and market entry.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape long-term strategic plans and assess financial impact of key business decisions.
  • Lead financial due diligence, modeling, and integration planning for M&A opportunities.
  • Guide scenario planning and stress-testing to prepare for various market conditions.
Regulatory, Risk & Compliance Oversight:
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards in partnership with the Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Oversee financial controls, risk assessments, and audit readiness across all business units.
Stakeholder & Investor Communication:
  • Represent the company in all financial communications with external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and board members.
  • Provide transparent, insightful reporting and updates on company financial health, forecasts, and funding initiatives.


Qualifications:
  • CPA, Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA required.
  • Minimum 10 years of financial leadership experience, ideally within fintech, alternative lending, structured finance, private equity, or banking.
  • Demonstrated success in FP&A leadership, capital strategy, and investor engagement.
  • Proven track record in sourcing and structuring funding (debt/equity/securitized products).
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, risk management, and compliance.
  • Experience in M&A, financial modeling, deal negotiation, and integration.
  • Familiarity with financial systems, automation tools, and modern FP&A platforms.
  • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence.
