About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for supporting a broad range of accounting functions with a focus on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting Support. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
Accounts Payable
- Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies
- Match invoices with purchase orders and verify quantities, prices, and terms
- Process payments (checks, electronic transfers, ACH) in accordance with payment schedules
- Maintain AP records and assist with month-end reconciliations and accruals
- Support employee expense report submissions and reimbursements
- Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies
- Contribute to AP workflow improvements and assist with credit card transaction coding
- Generate and distribute customer invoices using ERP system
- Validate shipping documents for accurate billing
- Maintain revenue and invoicing records with appropriate documentation
- Assist with collections and customer inquiries, including coordinating returns with Sales
- Resolve discrepancies in collaboration with Accounting, Sales, and Operations teams
- Provide reporting support for Executive Management and other departments
- Assist with month-end and year-end close, account reconciliations, and audits
- Coordinate Return Material Authorization (RMA) process with shipping and sales
- Cross-train in various accounting functions and support physical inventory
- Participate in system enhancements and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in AP/AR or general accounting; manufacturing experience a plus
- Experience with Traverse Global ERP system is highly desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, and graphs)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
