Position Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable Casualty Claims Manager to lead a high-performing team of adjusters responsible for handling personal and commercial casualty claims across all 50 states. This leadership role ensures consistent, fair, and efficient claims resolution aligned with company standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of casualty adjusters handling a wide range of claims—from auto accidents and property liability to complex commercial losses.

Oversee all aspects of claims handling, from first notice of loss through investigation, coverage evaluation, resolution, and settlement.

Apply expert knowledge of insurance policy language to make accurate coverage determinations.

Review and resolve high-exposure or complex claims, including those involving litigation, fraud, or subrogation opportunities.

Draft and review essential communications including coverage letters, reservation of rights, and denials.

Develop and implement strategic settlement and negotiation plans that balance cost-efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with internal teams such as Legal, Special Investigations Unit (SIU), Underwriting, and Risk.

Monitor claim file quality, reserve accuracy, and adherence to regulatory and company procedures.

Participate in field inspections, mediations, and settlement conferences when necessary.

Coach and mentor team members to ensure consistent development and performance excellence.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.

Minimum 5–7 years of casualty claims experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.

Strong understanding of personal and commercial insurance coverages, claims adjusting best practices, and relevant regulations.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex files, including litigation, bodily injury, and liability investigations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with policyholders, attorneys, and stakeholders.

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and claims management systems.

Must possess or be able to obtain adjuster licenses as required in various jurisdictions; commitment to ongoing professional development.
