Interim Senior Cost Accountant POST NUMBER: 451414
Our client, a manufacturing company, is looking for an Interim Sr. Cost Accountant to support their team in a variety of responsibilities while they look for a permanent placement.
This role is hybrid, 2 days per week at their office in Oakland, CA. This opportunity will have a duration of 3 months with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Review Cost Accounting to make sure cost of products are correct.
- Review BOM’s received from the co-manufacturer
- COG's (the consultant sits in the COG's group)
- Triage issues between the three-way match between PO, Invoice, and Item Receipt and directs the issues to the correct group.
- Analyze root causes for PO and Invoice issues and coordinate resolution across the organization.
- Coordinate, review, and verify timely reconciliations related to waste, PPV, and true ups.
- Oversee raw material reserves and write-off process with Supply Planning.
- Collaborate with Operations teams to improve the cost accounting process.
- BS/BA in Accounting/Finance
- 5 years relevant Cost accounting experience
- Strong computer skills: Excel required and NetSuite (or similar) ERP Accounting system preferred
- Team Player with excellent customer service and strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated and detail oriented
- Comfortable manipulating data
- Strong Communicator - Must own the process/tool. Be comfortable collaborating with others, need to get out of seat to get answers, investigate issue with team for resolution.
