The role is based out of their Charlotte headquarters and offers the opportunity to shape and lead a high-impact finance function.
About the Role:
The VP of Accounting will lead the company’s global accounting operations and play a critical role in delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and maintaining a strong internal control environment. This individual will oversee month-end close, consolidations, tax compliance, and public company reporting requirements as part of the broader enterprise.
This is a hands-on leadership role with direct visibility to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across global entities

Prepare and present consolidated financial statements to internal and external stakeholders

Oversee public company reporting requirements as a segment of a publicly traded parent

Maintain SOX compliance and a strong internal control environment

Oversee operational accounting functions including A/P, A/R, treasury, and GL

Manage tax compliance and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions

Coordinate with external auditors, banking partners, and corporate finance

Mentor and manage a high-performing accounting team
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required

12 years of progressive experience, including 5 in a senior leadership role

Strong GAAP knowledge, including revenue recognition and consolidations

Experience supporting public company reporting

Deep understanding of SOX, internal controls, and audit readiness

Experience managing global operations and multi-entity reporting

Proven ability to lead process improvements and scale accounting operations

Advanced systems knowledge (ERP, Excel, reporting tools)
