What do you need for this Senior Tax Accountant role?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 4 years of tax accounting experience
  • Experience with federal income tax accounting
  • Public accounting experience great
  • CPA also great but not a must have
  • Advanced Excel
What will you do in this Senior Tax Accountant role?
  • Partner with external service providers to coordinate the preparation and review of quarterly and annual compliance testing and associated reporting deliverables
  • Present complex tax issues, findings, and conclusions to senior leadership, executives, and external advisors during quarterly meetings.
  • Contribute to the team managing distribution requirements by preparing quarterly earnings and profits projections.
  • Support due diligence efforts, ensuring thorough analysis and smooth execution of transactions.
  • Collaborate with external firms on the preparation of income tax return workpapers, including fixed asset ledger maintenance and analysis of book-to-tax differences.
  • Review and analyze tax calculations related to IRC Sections 704(b)/(c), 752, and 754.
  • Examine federal and state income and franchise tax returns completed by service providers.
  • Prepare and file various indirect tax returns and ensure timely compliance.
  • Coordinate and review annual E&P calculations, reconciling them against quarterly taxable income projections through in-depth tax analysis.
  • Contribute to external reporting efforts including shareholder communications, filings, and the annual Form 10-K.
  • Participate in internal tax planning discussions and provide recommendations on structural decisions.
  • Assist with strategic transactions such as joint ventures, 1031 exchanges, and acquisitions/dispositions.
  • Help manage quarterly cash distributions to limited partners.
  • Address tax authority correspondence and resolve tax notices.
  • Conduct tax research as needed, particularly in response to legislative changes or reform.
  • Develop, implement, and assess new tax procedures, tools, and process improvements.
