

Staff Accountant POST NUMBER: 453772
- Performing all financial periods end close functions, which includes preparation of journal entries to the general ledger, balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis
- Record and reconcile the monthly intercompany balances with related parties
- Oversees the company’s lease administration, schedules and payment of all rental properties
- Routinely perform accounting for fixed asset acquisitions, retirements, and additions, transfers, depreciation and amortization of intangibles
- Reconcile various general ledger and fixed asset accounts on a monthly basis. Collaborate with Fixed Asset team and other departments to obtain information required for placing assets in service
- Perform physical count of fixed assets in different locations
- Maintain chart of account and period closing administration in corporate ERP and other related systems
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year end reporting, financial and tax audits
- Prepare and reconcile accruals and prepayments
- Be part of the team to implement the new ERP system (Business Central)
- Other duties as assigned
About You
- CPA designated or working towards the final level of completion
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with fixed asset management, intercompany transactions, prepayments and accruals are a must.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Advance skills in Excel required
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics, knowledge of Macro, VBA, Sequel, Python would be considered an asset
- Can demonstrate a high level of autonomy and self-motivation
- Able to multi-task with confidence and ease
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment with a Can-Do attitude
Salary Range
$70,000 - $75,000/year
