Senior Director of Clinical Finance POST NUMBER: 453551
Location:
Millbrae, CA. This role is hybrid with in-office expectations 2–3 days/week (Tuesdays required).
Job Description:
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a strategic finance professional with deep expertise in clinical finance. You’ll partner closely with clinical operations, R&D, and executive leadership to drive financial discipline, support data-driven decision-making, and optimize financial operations across global clinical trials. This position reports to the Executive Director of Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning and analysis for clinical programs, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term modeling.
- Oversee financial operations for global clinical trials, including site payments and vendor management.
- Develop robust financial models and provide strategic insights to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
- 15 years of experience in FP&A, with a strong focus on clinical finance in biopharma or healthcare.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Deep understanding of clinical trial budgeting and CRO financial oversight.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial insights effectively.
- Experience leading finance teams and working in high-growth environments.
