Title: Compensation Analyst- Sales
Location: Hybrid NYC

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Sales Compensation Analyst to lead the end-to-end compensation process for our clients Global Institutional and Intermediary Sales teams.
In this high-impact role, you’ll collaborate across departments—including Payroll, Client Billing, Fund Administration, HCM, Client Coverage Management, and Technology—to ensure accurate and timely compensation while continuously improving workflows and tools. Your work will directly influence financial planning and performance at the firm-wide level.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Compensation Process
    Oversee accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual compensation calculations for production-based sales teams. Review and distribute detailed compensation statements.
  • Analyze and Resolve
    Conduct root-cause analysis on compensation variances and deliver clear, data-driven insights to Client Coverage Management teams.
  • Provide Strategic Insights
    Deliver trend analysis, forecasts, and compensation insights to senior leadership.
  • Ensure Financial Accuracy
    Manage compensation expense entries into the general ledger, monitor P&L impact, and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally
    Partner with HCM, Tech, and Coverage teams to implement compensation plans and resolve issues effectively.
  • Drive Technological Innovation
    Lead the design, testing, and rollout of tech enhancements to optimize the compensation process.
  • Enhance Operational Efficiency
    Identify and implement improvements to increase scalability, accuracy, and efficiency across compensation workflows.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4–5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or analysis
  • Hands-on experience with commission-based compensation is required
  • Background in asset management or investment advisory is highly preferred
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential; experience with SAP is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for process improvement
