Our client, located off West End Avenue in Nashville, TN is looking to add a direct-hire Real Estate Legal Assistant to their team.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of both Commercial and Corporate Real Estate experience to support a partner within the organization, and will have strong experience with Uniform Commercial Codes.
Duties:
Legal & Executive Support
  • Provide executive-level support to C-Suite leadership and legal teams.
  • Draft, review, and manage real estate, leasing, loan, and corporate documents.
  • Prepare organizational and corporate records, including resolutions, consent actions, and annual reports.
  • Maintain business entity records and minute books; manage state and county filings.
Real Estate Transactions
  • Coordinate multi-state real estate transactions from due diligence to post-closing.
  • Order, review, and clarify title searches, surveys, zoning letters, and related due diligence items.
  • Assemble, organize, and review purchase agreements, closing documents, and critical checklists.
  • Assist at closings, including notarization, document review, disbursement of funds, and post-closing requirements (recordings, transcripts).
Research & Compliance
  • Conduct online database searches (business status, UCCs, real property, certificates of existence).
  • Resolve compliance and good standing issues with state and local taxing authorities.
  • Ensure accuracy, organization, and adherence to deadlines in filing, calendaring, and recordkeeping systems.
Client & Financial Management
  • Communicate routinely and effectively with clients, counsel, and business partners.
  • Prepare, review, and manage client billing processes.
  • Generate and review monthly financial reports.
General Administrative Duties
  • Maintain organized filing systems, manage calendars, and track deadlines.
  • Support other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Real Estate Transaction Experience is required
  • MAC operating system experience
  • Extensive experience and proficiency in performing electronic Real Property Records research
  • Extensive experience with UCC records (research, analysis, ordering, filing)
  • Strong math skills
  • Excellent client rapport and confidence in both written and verbal communications
  • Extraordinary client relations demeanor
  • Ability to accurately understand complete project workflow and accurately organize documents
  • Ability to understand, manage and maintain accurate electronic files
  • Clear understanding of timekeeping and legal billing processes
  • Demonstrated aptitude and ability to analyze financial reporting in a legal setting

Compensation: $80k-$90k salary based on experience
