Position Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst to join their finance team. The AR Analyst will play a crucial role in managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and reconciliation. This position requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Billing and Invoicing:
  • Generate accurate and timely invoices for services rendered to clients based on contract terms and project milestones.
  • Verify billing data accuracy, including project codes, rates, and expenses.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other departments to ensure invoices are submitted promptly and accurately.
  • Collections Management:
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue invoices.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve billing discrepancies and outstanding payments.
  • Implement collection strategies to minimize bad debt and improve cash flow.
  • Cash Application and Reconciliation:
  • Post customer payments to appropriate accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to cash application.
  • Customer Relations:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries related to billing and accounts receivable.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate prompt payment and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while upholding company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare monthly AR aging reports and analysis for management review.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to accounts receivable and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and streamline accounts receivable processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for automation or system enhancements to optimize AR operations.
  • Implement best practices and recommend changes to policies and procedures as needed.
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and revenue recognition standards.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions.
    • Experience with process improvement initiatives and system implementations is a plus.
