

Controller - 18 months POST NUMBER: 456220
The Controller is a senior finance leader responsible for directing all accounting and financial reporting for a $500M manufacturing organization. This role partners closely with operations, supply chain, and plant management to provide accurate cost and inventory reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic decision-making. The Controller ensures compliance with GAAP/IFRS, oversees the accounting team, and drives process improvements to scale with the company’s growth.
About the Opportunity
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of consolidated financial statements.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee external audits and relationships with auditors.
- Develop accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
- Oversee standard costing, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting.
- Partner with plant managers and operations leaders to analyze production costs, yield, scrap, and efficiency metrics.
- Lead inventory accounting (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) and cycle count programs.
- Provide financial visibility into product margins and manufacturing KPIs.
- Lead the annual budget and monthly forecasting process in collaboration with operations and supply chain.
- Develop dashboards and financial models to support decision-making and profitability analysis.
- Monitor working capital (AR, AP, inventory) to optimize cash flow.
- Manage and develop the accounting/finance team, including plant controllers and cost accountants.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
About You
- CPA designation required; MBA preferred.
- 10–15 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, cost accounting, and internal controls.
- Proven experience managing multi-site operations and large teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
