The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for a team of 2-3 Accounting staff, and lead the close process, technical accounting issues, inventory accounting, process improvements, internal controls and support external audit relationships. This is a hands on leader with an outstanding opportunity to make an impact and create scalable processes.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Accounting Manager enjoys being in the details and has strong technical skills, public accounting roots, and a proven track record in areas like inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and month-end close. Requirements include:
- CPA designation (required)
- Bachelor's in Accounting (Master's preferred)
- 6-9 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in both public accounting (audit) and corporate accounting
- Strong command of technical accounting issues and proven ability to research and implement new guidance
- Experience working in product-based industries, with understanding of inventory accounting
- A track record of driving process improvements
- Proficiency in developing financial reporting packages and presenting to leadership
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Prior experience leading accounting staff
- Superior communication and relationship building skills
- History of job stability and career progression
