An LA CPG company is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to add to their team. In this role, the Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for inventory accounting, margin analysis, KPI and cost variance reporting, COGS, and producing bill of materials. What do you need for this Senior Cost Accountant role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 7 years of cost accounting experience
- Advanced Excel
- Must have experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to demonstrate analytical skills
- Create and process standard cost transactions for materials, labor, and overhead, and evaluate variances.
- Produce KPI reporting for performance tracking and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Create and deliver reporting on manufacturing cost variances, cost of goods sold, bill of materials, inventory turns, and margin analysis.
- Evaluate and update product costs for new items.
- Assist with month-end close activities.
- Participate in the annual audit.
- Ad hoc reporting and projects.
