About the Company
Our client is an award-winning design firm. They are looking for a Controller who will be responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparing and posting journal entries for A/R, A/P, payroll, and taxes. Ensure accuracy of general and sub-ledgers, maintain internal controls, and support financial statement preparation. Prepare monthly reporting schedules for senior management.

About the Opportunity

Responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and annual close process in accordance with company requirements

Prepare and post necessary journal entries pertaining to A/R, A/P, Payroll and taxes.

Ensure that the appropriate accounting and internal control policies, procedures and practices are implemented to enable the preparation of financial statements.

Ensure the accuracy of the general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and consolidation/reporting tools

Prepare month-end reporting schedules for Senior Management.
About You
-
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with an accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent.

4 years of relevant work experience.

Experience using QuickBooks is preferred.

Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Knowledge of advanced accounting concepts, financial statement presentation and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP, in addition to A/R, A/P and General Ledger

Ability to identify issues, research their cause(s) and to propose solutions
Salary Range
$100,000 - $120,000/year
