Job Title: Supplier Onboarding & Compliance Agent
Location: Torrance, CA – Full Onsite
Type: 6-Month Contract, Temp-to-Hire
Rate: $45–$50/hr
Position Overview:
We are working with a high-growth, innovative defense technology company seeking a detail-oriented Supplier Onboarding and Compliance Agent. This fully onsite role in Torrance, CA focuses on onboarding and maintaining supplier records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building processes to meet industry standards. The position is temp-to-hire, offering an opportunity to join the team permanently based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage onboarding and offboarding of suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies, FAR/DFARS requirements, and industry standards
- Conduct due diligence on potential suppliers, including assessing accreditations, insurance, and compliance documentation
- Serve as the primary liaison between vendors and internal teams, resolving issues and providing guidance
- Maintain accurate data entry in ERP systems, including supplier records and agreements
- Create and maintain supplier onboarding policies, procedures, and process flows
- Develop and maintain supplier metrics and reporting dashboards
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in supplier onboarding, procurement, contracts, accounts payable, 3rd party risk management, or related areas
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience in working in the Aerospace/Defense manufacturing highly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, collaborative, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of vendor management principles and tools
- Exposure to Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma practices
- Experience with supplier onboarding systems and Oracle ERP highly preferred
