Senior Accountant – Join a High-Impact Finance Team
Are you an experienced accounting professional ready for the next step in your career? A growing and innovative financial services organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role within its Accounting team. This position offers the chance to take ownership of essential financial functions, collaborate across departments, and support the development of team members — all while contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities

Take the lead on month-end closing activities, ensuring financial reports are accurate and submitted on schedule.

Prepare and post complex journal entries and perform account reconciliations.

Manage consolidated financials for multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations and allocation processes.

Ensure timely and accurate filing of sales tax, payroll tax, and other regulatory reports across various U.S. states.

Maintain and update the fixed asset ledger, overseeing capitalization and depreciation schedules.

Provide support during annual audits by preparing required documentation and working directly with external auditors.

Work cross-functionally to analyze financial trends and deliver meaningful insights that support business decisions.

Mentor junior team members, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications

This is an on-site position based in Brentwood, TN.
-
3–5 years of experience in a senior accounting or similar role.

Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and corporate financial reporting.

Hands-on experience managing month-end close processes and account reconciliations.

Proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and reporting.

Familiarity with NetSuite or other mid-to-large-scale ERP/accounting platforms.

Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.

Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Demonstrated leadership potential and the ability to guide and support less-experienced colleagues.

Self-motivated and solution-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.
