Back End Software Engineer - Flowable POST NUMBER: 457856
Vaco is partnering with a leading university in the online education industry to bring on a Software Engineer with a strong background in Java full-stack development. This role is highly specialized: the top immediate need is Flowable (BPMN/DMN) expertise for process-driven development. Once established, you’ll broaden your scope to core Java and integration work supporting enterprise-scale applications.
You’ll play a key role in transforming and modernizing the client’s software ecosystem, leveraging cloud-native tools and workflow automation. The role is 100% remote for U.S.-based candidates, with immediate onboarding available.
What You’ll Do

Lead development efforts on Flowable-based workflow solutions (BPMN/DMN modeling).

Build, enhance, and maintain Java and Node.js services within a microservices environment.

Develop and integrate APIs across complex enterprise applications.

Contribute to containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.

Support CI/CD pipeline optimization for continuous integration and automated releases.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement modern, scalable, cloud-based solutions.
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills (** = top priority):**

Java Development (****) – strong backend engineering experience.

Spring Boot framework knowledge.

Pay Range: Up to $60/hr
