Summary:
Vaco has partnered in the search for an IT Manager – Warehouse Systems to oversee the technology operations that keep a high-volume warehouse or distribution center running smoothly. This role is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the IT infrastructure that powers warehouse automation, robotics, networking, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership, and hands-on systems management—ensuring uptime, performance, and seamless integration between IT and operations.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage day-to-day IT operations across warehouse systems and supporting infrastructure.

Provide help desk and application support for a variety of business and warehouse software.

Administer servers, desktops, network devices, wireless equipment, and handheld technologies.

Oversee updates, configurations, and maintenance of warehouse technology systems.

Partner with warehouse operations to identify and implement system enhancements that improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

Monitor system performance metrics and drive optimization through data-driven decisions.

Lead or support WMS-related projects, upgrades, and system rollouts.

Ensure uptime and reliability across all critical systems including automation, robotics, and IoT devices.

Manage and maintain cybersecurity, data governance, and IT compliance standards.

Analyze warehouse workflows and support the development of improved IT processes and SOPs.

Collaborate with external vendors for system support, maintenance, and upgrades.
Qualifications
-
8 years of IT systems management experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience with warehouse automation systems, robotics, and WMS/WES/MHS platforms.

Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, VMware, and virtual infrastructure.

Experience supporting wireless networks, barcode scanners, and Zebra printing technology.

Strong communication and leadership skills with experience collaborating across departments.

Analytical, metrics-driven, and comfortable making data-backed operational decisions.
