The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with regulations, and providing excellent service to our employees.
Position Overview: As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our employees. Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll cycles accurately and on time.
- Calculate and process payroll deductions, taxes, and other withholdings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll matters.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee data and seamless onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports for management review.
- Stay current on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (3 years) as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
