Our client has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Controller for a publicly traded company. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements and journal entries
  • Manage and improve monthly and other period ends (monthly, quarterly, and annual) accounting close cycles
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact financial reporting
  • Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Lead and support the timely and efficient completion of annual audits including coordinating the provision of information to external auditors
  • Manage and prepare 10-k, and 10-q filings/reporting
  • Foster proactive working relationships with other functional departments (Accounting, Sales & Marketing, Operations, etc.) to ensure timely and accurate receipt of the information required for financial analysis

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting or a related field
  • CPA Required
  • Experience with publicly traded companies required
  • SEC, 10-k, 10-q experience required
  • Demonstrates thought leadership, team player, and experience participating with a small team
  • Strong analytical/quantitative and communication skills
  • Advanced Excel user with the ability to manage/format large files, produce ad hoc reports and perform data analysis
