The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with teams such as IT/helpdesk, Operations, and other senior leadership to design, test, and implement features and functionalities that will improve performance and usability of systems and processes. This position may require interaction with end-users upon routing from the helpdesk to provide usage support for, answer questions regarding, and resolve problems with responsible systems.

This position may progress to a management role as the company and departments grow and additional Applications Development positions become necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain application integrations with API and SDK technologies including .NET console applications, WebAPI, or similar using C#.

  • Build robotic process automations (RPA) using UIPath, PowerAutomate, or similar.

  • Use artificial intelligence (AI) applications (assistant/API, etc.) to support transitioning repetitive human decisions and tasks to scalable, automated solutions.

  • Gather specifications and functional/business requirements from requesters regarding projects to create efficiencies, generate revenue, or that are compliance-related.

  • Document requirements and leverage a project-management solution to share and prioritize backlog and communicate current project status.

  • Build new or enhance/maintain existing web and Windows solutions per project specifications.

  • Assist the loan origination system (LOS) team with advanced coding for business rules, custom fields, and Input Form Builder.

  • Conduct change management and related communication activities for all feature deployment.

  • Accountability to work remotely (as applicable) and support remote users efficiently.

  • Lead transition in all custom applications from ICE Encompass® legacy .NET SDK to API.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize problems, tasks, and projects effectively.

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal direct supervision in day-to-day tasks.

Candidate Requirements and Preferences

  • 10 years experience with VisualStudio including: C#, VB.NET, HTML, Javascript, MVC framework, WebAPI, ASP.NET, and console applications.

  • Advanced proficiency in ChatGPT (or equivalent) artificial intelligence applications including assistant/API and Custom GPTs.

  • Proven experience in robotic process automation with UIPath, PowerAutomate, or similar – with proven outcomes that reduced human dependency on repetitive tasks and allowed for business growth while limiting additional staff.

  • 10 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio, T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and data applications in VisualStudio solutions.

  • Experience in application publishing to Windows Server and Azure App Services.

  • 5 years recent experience with Encompass® including the SDK, API, and Input Form Builder (including integrated VB.NET).

  • 5 years recent experience in general mortgage workflow, terminology, vendor partners, and industry best practices and trends.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or similar field of study preferred.

  • Service-oriented, positive attitude and the ability to represent your role and the company in a positive light is required.
