SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: 
The Business Systems Analyst III acts as a business partner to certain departments, providing systems support and acting as a bridge to IT for systems and process-related needs. The role is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining various business systems, applications, and processes within the organization, and further for assessing, monitoring, and ensuring that collections of such systems work together effectively to meet the broader needs of the organization.

This individual will play a critical role in identifying, analyzing, and implementing business process improvements and technology solutions that align with our strategic goals.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide direct systems support to assigned departments and facilitate other IT or third-party resources as needed.
  • Review and prioritize project and non-project issues with assigned department stakeholders, and review and prioritize issues with other analysts to meet broader organizational needs and goals.
  • Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex business systems to optimize operations, enhance customer experiences, and support business growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and system design documents, working closely with developers, QA analysts, and other IT professionals to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements, presenting recommendations to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocations, to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Monitor and track project progress, providing regular status updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide end-user training and support as needed.
  • Perform ongoing system maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure the continued effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure the continuous improvement of our business systems.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior business systems analysts, contributing to the development of a high-performing team.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
  • B.S./B.A. or M.B.A./M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, and/or equivalent formal training or work experience
  • 7 years of experience in business systems analysis, including 3 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as CBAP, PMP, or ITIL preferred
  • Experience with agile project management methodologies and tools preferred
  • Strong knowledge of business process analysis, systems development lifecycle (SDLC), and project management methodologies.
  • Experience with a variety of software applications, including ERP, CRM, and BI tools, as well as programming languages and databases.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
