Our Client, a leader in the financial sector, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic Investment Team. Located in Montreal, this role supports the team's growing need due to an increase in project volumes and the expansion of business activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director, Investments Reporting, and the investment teams by producing investment-related financial information for various reports, including financial statements, management reports, and statutory reports.
  • Execute and reconcile the general ledger to various analytical databases.
  • Prepare various reports and materials for the Board.
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of financial reporting systems.
  • Develop and implement new processes to improve the monthly closing process, ensuring the production of high-quality financial information.
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment and ensure the accuracy of the verification evidence for testing.

Requirements:

  • Existing knowledge or a strong interest in investments.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience, preferably with audit experience in a BIG 4 firm.
  • A professional designation such as CPA and/or CFA, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficient communication skills in both French and English, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Oracle in Cloud, reporting cubes, and Power BI is a plus.

  • Soutenir le Directeur et les équipes d'investissement en produisant des informations financières liées aux investissements pour divers rapports, y compris les états financiers, les rapports de gestion et les rapports statutaires.
  • Exécuter et réconcilier le grand livre général avec diverses bases de données analytiques.
  • Préparer divers rapports et présentations pour le Board.
  • Participer à la mise en place et à la maintenance des systèmes de reporting financier.
  • Développer et mettre en œuvre de nouveaux processus pour améliorer le processus de clôture mensuelle, garantissant la production d'informations financières de haute qualité.
  • Maintenir un environnement de contrôle interne robuste et assurer l'exactitude des preuves de vérification pour les tests.

Exigences :

  • Connaissances existantes ou un fort intérêt pour les investissements.
  • Minimum de trois ans d'expérience pertinente, de préférence avec une expérience d'audit dans un grand cabinet des 4 (BIG 4).
