Job Summary: Infrastructure Engineer   
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI, hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 remote weekly.
No C2C
Team members work remotely in the Milwaukee, WI, area. All roles have an in-person component and require working onsite in the Milwaukee, WI, area 3 days a week.  
Client: IT and Management Consulting Firm.
Expected Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 bonus.

We're on the lookout for an experienced Server Infrastructure Engineer! You’ll be responsible for creating and implementing server infrastructure solutions. You'll get to work on managing complex environments and troubleshooting performance issues related to VMware, Windows, Linux, servers, storage, and networking. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Responsibilities:
  • Engineering, configuring, installing, maintaining, and upgrading networks, including servers, routers, switches, remote access systems, and network management systems.
  • Provide technical support for LAN/WAN and liaise with vendors and third-party providers.
  • Build and manage complex data center interoperability and configurations.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues requiring expertise in OS support (VMware, Windows, Linux), servers (Blade, rack mount), storage, and networking.
  • Escalate security incidents and fulfill all security responsibilities outlined in policies.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend networking hardware and software, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, security appliances, and storage.
  • Design, configure, or upgrade LAN/MAN/WAN networks. Install network/system applications and perform analysis. Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues.
  • Validate configuration changes on network behavior and performance before deployment.
  • Complete project work plans related to network, server, and enterprise disk environment, track progress, and meet project deadlines.
  • Support and maintain the enterprise hardware environment.
  • Ensure software and hardware compatibility with existing networks and systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend new products and services.
  • Participate in capacity planning, network monitoring, and disaster recovery processes.
Required Experience and Skills:
  • 5 Years of relevant enterprise experience with Windows Servers 2012-2022 (Required)
  • 4 Years of networking experience in VMware, Windows, and Linux environments (Required)
  • Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and O365.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS and/or O365 & Azure enterprise environments.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries.
  • Strong analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with PCI and PII requirements.
  • Proficiency in anti-virus and other software applications.
  • Knowledge of enterprise NAS/SAN technologies.
  • Experience with firewalls, switches, and routers.

The expected first year pay range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000. Our compensation package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage, and 401k contribution matching, PTO, Holiday Pay, technical certification and continued training assistance.
