Responsibilities of the role:
- Develop state of the art analytic tools using Power BI and provides complex analysis, designs and implements business intelligence and reporting solutions.
- Implement disruptive technologies focused on transforming the way in which we operate and leverage data.
- Builds and maintains the reporting data model and helps the Engineering team with creating views, SQL scripts
- Works with leaders in Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Operations and Finance to develop intelligent solutions and reports.
- Uses Business Intelligence and visualization software to empower non-technical, internal customers to drive their own analytics and reporting.
- Collaborates closely with internal and external teams to understand and apply changes/modifications impacting data warehouse.
- Monitor ETL processes, system audits, Dashboard Reporting and Presentation Layer functions and performance and proactively fix issues as found.
- Assists with planning around data management and data analysis activities and recommends new or different technologies that will enhance current systems and support corporate and business goals.
- Serves as a proficient technical resource; routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor.
- Provides consultation and hands-on assistance for reporting and analytic initiatives and incidents.
- Provides advice and recommendations around customer requirements and the implementation of those requirements.
Requirements/Education of role:
- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work well independently and as a team member.
- Time management skills and proven ability to prioritize heavy workload and meet deadlines.
- Graduate of a four-year college or university or appropriate combination of experience and education
- 3 years of analytic experience or other relevant industry
- Experience with Microsoft stack of reporting and business intelligence tools, including SQL Server, SSRS and Power Bi
- Experience in database management, operations, and development, namely with Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong proficiency with SQL development
- Experience with DAX development
- Experience with Data and Process Modeling
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to distill complex ideas into concise and accurate narratives that enlighten and inspire
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and urgency, but also work with changing deadlines in a dynamic, start-up environment with rapid expansion plans
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Competence with Python, .Net or JavaScript development
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps
- Experience with Agile delivery methodology
- Knowledge of CRM applications such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle or Salesforce
- Proficient in Excel
