Job Title: HR/Payroll Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled HR/Payroll Specialist to join our team and support our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR practices and payroll procedures, with the ability to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll while adhering to company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing:

    • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
    • Calculate wages, deductions, overtime, and other payroll-related items accurately.
    • Process payroll adjustments, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes in employment status.
    • Review and reconcile payroll reports to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
    • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data.
  2. HR Administration:

    • Assist with various HR administrative tasks, including employee onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining personnel records.
    • Support employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
    • Coordinate employee training and development initiatives in collaboration with department managers.
    • Assist with HR policy development and implementation to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
  3. Employee Relations:

    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and general HR matters.
    • Address employee concerns and escalate issues to HR management as needed.
    • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive employee information.
  4. Compliance and Reporting:

    • Stay updated on federal, state, and local labor laws, regulations, and industry trends related to payroll and HR practices.
    • Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings as required.
    • Assist with audits and compliance reviews, providing accurate data and documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in HR and payroll administration, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems, with experience in ADP, Workday, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
