The Roofing Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site roofing construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. This role serves as the primary on-site leader and liaison between subcontractors, project managers, inspectors, vendors, and clients. The ideal candidate will have experience managing commercial and/or residential roofing projects and a strong understanding of roofing systems, safety standards, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily on-site operations for commercial and/or residential roofing construction projects
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, roofing crews, and field personnel
  • Ensure projects are completed according to plans, specifications, manufacturer requirements, and timelines
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company procedures
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control, workmanship standards, and safety compliance
  • Manage project schedules and proactively address delays, weather impacts, or jobsite issues
  • Order roofing materials and coordinate deliveries to maintain project workflow
  • Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, scopes of work, and project documents
  • Communicate project updates, progress, and issues with Project Managers and key stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, schedules, and project documentation
  • Facilitate inspections and ensure compliance with local building codes and roofing specifications
  • Monitor crew productivity and ensure efficient use of labor and materials
  • Ensure proper installation of roofing systems including flat, low-slope, metal, TPO, EPDM, shingles, or modified systems as applicable

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in roofing construction supervision or related field
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and/or residential roofing systems, construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and roofing specifications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in construction management software is preferred
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • Ability to travel to job sites as needed
