Technical Coordinator, Korea
Vaco is conducting a search on behalf of a leading company in the home comfort sector, seeking a Technical Coordinator for their Engineering & Services Division in Irvine, CA. This is a full-time position offering a compensation range of $27-30 per hour (non-exempt), with a 15% bonus potential. (Pro-rated first year) (Total compensation range could be up to 75K per year, and up approx. 68k first year, factoring in overtime and bonuses) The non-exempt status ensures eligibility for overtime pay for travel or off-hours calls. Position will involve travel to Canada once per Quarter and calls with partners in Korea 1-2 times per month. Position is 100 percent onsite in Irvine.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Technical Coordinator Team to gather and organize data, and compile management reports.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Irvine office and the headquarters in Korea.
  • Communicate effectively with various personnel regarding product issues, changes, and new product developments.
  • Update and distribute new technical information to Technical Managers and team members regularly.
  • Assist in quality control measures, including testing returned units/parts and field-reported issues.
  • Support the research of new technological developments and regulation changes to aid in product development.
  • Coordinate and support new and ongoing prototype testing and installations in the field.
  • Visit residential and commercial sites to provide technical and translation support.
  • Improve existing technical communications and processes (manuals, technical bulletins, training, etc.).
  • Maintain open communication with other departments and outside sales representatives to resolve issues or concerns.
  • Assist in purchasing various HVAC tech-related equipment and parts based on headquarters' requests.
  • Coordinate high-priority domestic and international shipments using various shipping methods.
  • Utilize SAP and other proprietary software to gather data, support personnel, and update product information.
  • Travel domestically or to Canada once per quarter for 2-3 days.
Requirements:
  • Fluent in Korean (speaking, understanding, and writing).
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Effective collaboration and team-player skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Availability to travel domestically or to Canada once per quarter for 2-3 days.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to translate technical documents from Korean to English.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
