Role: Senior Management Consultant – Finance & Healthcare
Salary: $200,000-250,000 bonus
Location: New York City - Hybrid (3-4 days a week in office) & Travel required
About the role: Our client is looking for a Senior Managing Consultant to work alongside corporate clients, investors, and lending partners to improve financial outcomes and operational performance. The focus within finance transformation is helping organizations modernize and elevate the CFO function—establishing scalable processes, enhancing reporting capabilities, strengthening teams, and instilling disciplined execution. The approach is practical and execution-driven. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership teams, operate at pace, and deliver tangible impact reflected in financial and operating results. The work spans strategic advisory through implementation, supporting clients on transformation initiatives, performance improvement, and transaction-related efforts to drive sustainable value creation. Experience working within the Healthcare or HealthTech advisory space or with Private Equity-backed Healthcare clients highly preferred!
Responsibilities
- Oversee and drive execution of client engagements across areas such as finance transformation, operational optimization, transaction preparedness, and value creation initiatives
- Act as a consistent liaison for client stakeholders, including senior finance leaders, executive teams, investors, and financing partners
- Break down complex business issues into clear analytical frameworks, structured plans, and practical recommendations
- Create high-quality materials including executive presentations, financial analyses, implementation roadmaps, and performance tracking tools
- Leverage data to uncover efficiency opportunities and support strategic and operational decision-making
- Lead the design and rollout of process enhancements across finance, accounting, and key operational functions
- Coordinate multiple project streams while guiding and developing junior team members to ensure strong delivery standards
- Utilize advanced technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve analysis, streamline workflows, and enhance client outcomes
- Contribute to internal initiatives such as hiring, training, business growth efforts, and knowledge development
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving instincts and ownership mentality
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights in a clear, actionable manner for senior stakeholders
Background:
- 7–12 years of relevant experience in consulting, finance, investment banking, private investing, due diligence, or operational advisory roles
- Combination of advisory and in-house experience is beneficial
- Familiarity with investor-backed or sponsor-driven environments is highly valued
- Exposure to turnaround or restructuring situations is advantageous
- Experience working with Healthcare clients
- Strong financial analysis and modeling expertise, including integrated financial statements, cash flow forecasting, and scenario planning
- Solid understanding of finance and operational workflows such as planning cycles, close processes, treasury management, and end-to-end transaction cycles
- Experience working with financial systems (e.g., ERP, performance management, analytics platforms) and understanding their role in transformation efforts
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, build client relationships, and deliver results in fast-paced environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills suited for executive audiences
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related discipline required
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus
- Professional designations such as CPA, CFA, or similar credentials are advantageous
