Accounting Manager POST NUMBER: 419623
A leading industrial manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and team management, with a proven ability to drive financial accuracy and efficiency in a dynamic industry environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and review financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts.
- Review and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Internal Controls:
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Conduct periodic audits and assessments to identify and address areas of risk.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Oversee the completion of daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks and deadlines.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Review and approve transactions, maintaining strong vendor and customer relationships.
- Compliance and Tax:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and implement recommendations for improvement.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously refine accounting processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
