A South Bay entertainment firm is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. In this role, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for everything related to new acquisitions, integrating acquired companies, first year reporting, and acquisitions accounting. To be successful in this role, the Senior Accountant should be very technical, have great communication skills, and be able to work in a team environment. What do you need for this Senior Accountant position?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 3 years of technical accounting and/or financial reporting experience
- MUST have public accounting experience
- Should be working towards your CPA if you do not have one
- Advanced Excel
- Lead technical accounting research and write memos for complex acquisition transactions
- Ensure compliance with various accounting treatments and guidance like ASC 805
- Assist in the implementation and adoption of new accounting pronouncements
- Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting as needed with the month-end close
- Support M&A activities including due diligence, purchase accounting, and integration efforts
- Prepare and review financial disclosures and footnotes for external reporting
- Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting to safeguard assets and data accuracy
