Vaco is actively seeking an Information Technology Manager for direct employment with our client in Memphis.

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the CIO, the IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing network infrastructure, including data centers and cloud environments. This role involves supervising third-party service providers (MSPs), providing recommendations for technical advancement, and offering support for various internal platforms. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Entra Active Directory, Office 365, and networking technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management:
  • Oversee and manage the organization’s network infrastructure, including data centers and hosted environments.
  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of network operations.
  • Implement and maintain network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address issues.
  • Develop and assist in the validation and troubleshooting of wired and wireless networks.

Third-Party Service Provider Management:
  • Manage relationships with third-party service providers (MSPs) responsible for various IT services.
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements and monitor the quality of service delivered.
  • Coordinate with MSPs to address and resolve any service-related issues or escalations.

IT Strategy and Recommendations:
  • Develop and propose IT strategies to align technology with business objectives.
  • Provide recommendations on technology investments, upgrades, and improvements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to advise on future IT direction.

Technical Support for Operating Platforms:
  • Provide technical support for various business applications, ensuring their smooth operation and integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application technical issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement and optimize platform solutions.

Hands-On Technical Expertise:
  • Utilize hands-on expertise in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Entra Active Directory, Office 365, and networking technologies.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues related to these technologies.
  • Ensure proper configuration, maintenance, and security of Windows servers and Active Directory environments.

Qualifications:
 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in IT management or operations.

Skills:
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure management, cloud technologies, and data center operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Entra Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • Proficiency in networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Experience managing third-party service providers and overseeing IT operations.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
