About the Opportunity:
Our Client is seeking a highly motivated Controller with a CPA designation to oversee and manage the financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional who thrives in a multifaceted role, blending traditional accounting functions with strategic financial management. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and contributing to various aspects of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits. Prepare documentation and provide support to auditors.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
About You:
  • CPA is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar role, ideally in the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Responsabilités clés :
  • Préparer et analyser les états financiers mensuels, trimestriels et annuels. Assurer l'exactitude et la conformité aux principes comptables et aux règlements.
  • Élaborer et gérer les budgets, les prévisions et les plans financiers. Fournir des analyses et des recommandations basées sur les données financières.
  • Superviser les opérations comptables quotidiennes, y compris les comptes fournisseurs, les comptes clients et la tenue du grand livre.
  • Coordonner et gérer les audits externes. Préparer la documentation et fournir un soutien aux auditeurs.

À propos de vous :
 
  • Le titre de CPA est obligatoire.
  • Un diplôme de baccalauréat en comptabilité, finance ou dans un domaine connexe ; un diplôme de maîtrise est un atout.
  • Expérience avérée en tant que Contrôleur ou dans un rôle similaire, idéalement dans l'industrie du commerce de détail.
  • Excellente compréhension des principes comptables, de la production de rapports financiers et de la budgétisation.
  • Maîtrise des logiciels comptables et de la suite Microsoft Office.
  • Capacités exceptionnelles d'organisation et de gestion simultanée des tâches.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et en leadership.
