Job Title: Assistant Merchant, E-Commerce

Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented E-Commerce Assistant Merchant with 2-3 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist the Merchant team in driving the online merchandising strategy for our e-commerce platform. You will play a key role in supporting the execution of product assortments, promotional strategies, and the overall shopping experience to enhance conversion rates and drive online sales growth.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Management:
    Assist in managing the online product assortment, ensuring accurate product information, and coordinating product launches. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all product details (descriptions, pricing, and imagery) are up-to-date on the website.
  • Inventory Coordination:
    Monitor inventory levels for online products, working closely with the supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure availability. Recommend reorders and participate in stock management to optimize inventory turn.
  • Site Merchandising:
    Assist in executing visual merchandising strategies on the website to maximize product exposure and conversion rates. Work with the web design and development teams to optimize category layouts, product pages, and overall customer journey.
  • Promotional Support:
    Support the planning and execution of promotional campaigns, such as sales events, new product launches, and seasonal promotions. Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all digital channels.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, average order value, and site traffic. Provide analysis and insights from sales data to help inform merchandising and marketing strategies. Regularly produce reports on product performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Customer Insights & Market Research:
    Stay informed of market trends, customer preferences, and competitive offerings. Conduct research on industry best practices and consumer behaviors to support merchandising decisions that align with customer needs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with teams across departments, including marketing, customer service, and supply chain, to ensure seamless execution of e-commerce initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in e-commerce, merchandising, or retail operations.
  • Strong understanding of online retail business and digital merchandising best practices.
  • Proficiency in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, etc.) and content management systems (CMS).
  • Basic knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and reporting platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for e-commerce and a customer-centric mindset.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field.
