IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer POST NUMBER: 421247

Rate: $50 to $60 per hour on W2 (salary conversion from $90 to $110K
Important Note - You will be required to be onsite three days a week with two days remote. We will not consider candidates that need to relocate, and will will not accept candidates from Corp to Corp companies, nor anyone that requires sponsorship now or in the future.
The IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer will assist with security-related infrastructure application set up for carve outs, security remediation and modernization projects, and security assessments. They will manage smaller remediation initiatives identified during the assessment. They will also collaborate with our clients and our technical leads, project managers, and the tech team to develop policies, procedures and training which can be used across all clients.
Job Functions:
• Consulting experience on both project and interim role assignments.
• Design, implementation and support of infrastructure projects that include a wide range of tasks such as network, server, security, and collaboration systems as required to meet client’s project requirements for function, performance, and high availability.
• Participate in IT Infrastructure Assessments for Managed Services clients, Pre-go live for M&A clients, and new clients with unknown environments.
• Act to resolve technical and security issues related to projects or client’s infrastructure.
• Understand and meet project budget expectations for time to execute tasks.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
• 7 or more years of relevant infrastructure engineer experience that includes a substantial amount of both project and support work.
• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity applications and technologies (preferably in small to mid-sized organizations) such as:
o Security Operations for Managed Services Clients
o Security focused recurring checks for Managed Services Clients
o Infrastructure separation projects and the security application setup for new clients.
• Demonstratable design, implementation, administration experience with client security applications, including:
o Content Filtering (Umbrella, Zscaler)
o Vulnerability assessment tools (Qualys, Tenable, Nessus)
o Network and Server Audit Tools (Netwrix)
o Event correlation/SIEM tools (Splunk)
o MFA (Azure MFA Conditional Access Policies)
o MDM (Intune MDM Policies)
o End Point Protection (SentinelOne, TrendMicro)
o Email Flow Security (Microsoft 365, IronScales, ProofPoint)
o Security Awareness Training (KnowBe4)
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a fast-paced consulting or MSP environment
• Strong issue identification and resolution skills.
• Strong understanding of time management.
• Solid interpersonal skills in communications with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Ability to travel as project tasks require for infrastructure equipment setup.
• Experience with cloud technologies, specifically Azure servers, and Microsoft 365 configuration.
• Core understanding of information security best practices and networking fundamentals.
• Microsoft365, Azure, and Cisco Certifications are a plus.
• Be able to work after hours for business impacting changes.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• A bachelor's or master’s degree in Business, Engineering or Information Systems is preferred.
• Ability to travel as project tasks required for infrastructure project such as support for PC/Email migration phase of projects.
