Quality Assurance Engineer POST NUMBER: 426115
POSITION PURPOSE
- Design, develop and implement a Quality Management System in accordance with ISO-9001:2015.
- Implement quality metrics and statistical tools targeted to improve product performance.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Acceptance Test Procedures.
- Develop Quality Control Plans for specific production lines and/or processes.
- Develop production process controls that assure product compliance and performance.
- Perform on-site quality audits and manage supplier corrective actions.
- Evaluate and manage an effective customer complaint and corrective action system.
- Develop test plans for new product development project and releases.
- Models company values and behaviors
- Manages individual performance, personal development, and training
- Supports company’s and team’s initiatives
- Performs other duties according to business needs
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience & Skills)
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- ASQ certification in Lean Six Sigma, Auditor and/or Engineer a plus
- Minimum Five (5) years’ experience in Quality Assurance.
- Must be familiar with developing and implementing Quality Management Systems
- Computer skills: email and general business software (i.e. MS Office, Mini-Tab, etc.)
- Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel internationally with valid and up-to-date travel documents.
- Able to effectively work individually and within a team
- Able to take initiative and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changes and assume new responsibilities
- High level of Integrity, and Professionalism
- Regularly required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance
- Regularly required to coordinate the movement of more than one limb simultaneously
- Regularly make fine, highly controlled muscular movements to adjust the position of a control mechanism
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Frequently required to operate specified product equipment,
- Frequently required to operate computers, telephones and other office/technology equipment, requiring gross and fine motor skills, and to employ eye-hand coordination

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
