About the Company 
Our client is a privately owned manufacturer and retailer. They are looking for a Controller who will be responsible for managing the corporate finance functions as it relates to accounting, managing budgets, and overseeing the operational accounting department (AP/AR/Payroll etc.).

About the Opportunity 

Strategy and Planning:
  • Implement finance and accounting objectives that are aligned with the corporate strategy
  • Identify important company financial trends and recommend solutions to mitigate risks
  • Partner with other team members to understand performance drivers and define appropriate reports and controls to be used in the business
Financial Management, Control, Business Processes:
  • Oversee day-to-day full-cycle accounting and finance functions
  • Prepare, present and analytically review monthly financial package with the management team to help drive short to medium term decision making.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate month end close.
  • Responsible for accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credit and collections, payroll, and inventory of assets
  • Prepare cash flow projections and report with recommendations
  • Own banking activities, treasury management, covenant reporting
  • Accountable for inventory records including counts and reconciliations
  • Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes and preparing analysis of budgeted to actuals.
  • Work with internal and external business partners to manage departmental spend in line with budgets
  • Establish efficient and documented work-flow processes and accounting policies
  • Help Implement systems and organization controls as may be required
  • Manage and verify manufactured product costing process
  • Develop controls for the maintenance of banking and other critical accounting software credentials for all applications
  • Develop new initiatives and processes that reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Develop and manage relationships with financial institutions, insurance providers, private equity, external auditors and tax and other consultants
  • Manage and oversee payroll process through ADP
  • Other ad hoc duties as required
About You 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Accounting designation (CMA, CGA or CA), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior accounting or financial management role

Salary Range 
$120,000 - $125,000/year
