Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Communications Manager to lead and execute high-profile earned media campaigns for our regional, national, and global PR initiatives. This role will focus on expanding our donor reach, elevating executive voice, and boosting audience engagement through creative, data-driven storytelling. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the impact of donor dollars and manage strategic communications initiatives effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Management: Deliver and execute strategic communications initiatives in collaboration with internal and external partners. Drive solutions for complex projects while remaining agile to changes in workload and project expectations.

Project Coordination: Own and manage project timelines, ensuring adherence to deadlines while maintaining effective communication with peers and leadership.

Communications Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive communications plans, including target audience strategies, media outreach, channel outlines, and core messaging.

Stakeholder Engagement: Lead high-profile meetings and conversations with project stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration.

Content Creation: Write and edit various media materials, adhering to AP Style guidelines and ensuring factual accuracy and brand messaging.

Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular updates to Strategic Communications leadership and peers, packaging impactful media recaps in a timely manner.

Process Improvement: Reflect on and analyze processes, workflows, and project plans to maximize efficiency and results.

Research and Outreach: Conduct research to identify innovative fundraising and audience engagement strategies. Collaborate with Media Relations and Strategic Communications teams to facilitate outreach to reporters.

Workflow Management: Develop and maintain workflow charts and reports on current and upcoming planning efforts for the Media Relations and Strategic Communications team.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, business communications, or a related field.

Minimum of 6 years of industry experience in communications or public relations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record in writing for multiple mediums.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while prioritizing transparency with leadership teams.

Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and closing out communications plans and campaigns.

Comfortable working with senior leaders and managing cross-functional efforts amidst competing priorities.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining composure under pressure.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and media distribution/monitoring services.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
