Job Description: Senior Go Developer (Remote, with some onsite work)

About the Role:
Our client is looking for a Senior Go Developer to join an exciting, new squad within their organization. In this role, you will be involved in the development of robust, scalable cloud-based applications that support key business initiatives. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of developers, engineers, and product specialists to build and maintain high-performance APIs and systems. Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing applications using Go in a cloud environment.
- Collaborating with team members to create scalable, efficient, and secure solutions.
- Integrating APIs and ensuring high-quality, testable code.
- Working with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) to deploy and maintain applications.
- Contributing to code reviews, technical documentation, and best practices.
- Taking part in regular team meetings to ensure alignment on project progress and technical strategy.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (4 years) as a Go Developer, with a strong focus on cloud-based applications and API integration.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or similar.
- Deep understanding of modern software development practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a bilingual (English and French) work environment.
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry is a plus but not required.
- Flexibility to work onsite in Montreal approximately 40% of the time (with potential for some flexibility based on team needs).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Full-time, contract position with expected working hours of 37.5 hours per week
