Position Summary:
The FP&A Manager will play a key role in driving financial planning and analysis activities within the organization. Reporting directly to the [Director of FP&A / CFO], the successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making across the company. This role will work closely with various departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with business strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Budgeting: Lead the annual budgeting process, working with departmental heads to create and consolidate budgets that align with corporate goals.
- Forecasting: Prepare and update rolling forecasts, analyzing variances, and adjusting financial projections to reflect changing business conditions.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives, including profitability analysis, scenario planning, and capital allocation.
- Analysis & Reporting: Provide monthly and quarterly financial analysis, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and performance metrics. Deliver insights to senior management and key stakeholders to drive business performance.
- Management Reporting: Compile and present accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and board meetings.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, identify financial impacts, and support decision-making processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial analyses as required to support business decisions, new initiatives, and executive requests.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, strong Excel skills, and experience with financial software and ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion). Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
- Team Leadership: Experience leading and mentoring a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
