Position Summary:
Growing industrial company seeking an experienced Controller with a robust background in job costing to lead our accounting function.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10-15 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, and a proven track record of working within industrial or manufacturing environments. This role is key in driving financial integrity, managing cost accounting, and overseeing budget control and reporting functions.
Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
- Lead financial operations, including month-end and year-end closing processes, budget preparation, and annual audits.
- Develop and manage financial policies, systems, and controls to ensure accurate reporting and financial integrity.
- Provide insights and analysis on financial performance, focusing on profit improvement and cost management.

Job Costing & Project Analysis:
- Oversee and refine the job costing process to accurately allocate expenses and monitor cost drivers.
- Partner with project managers and operations teams to track and analyze project costs and profitability.
- Drive cost control initiatives by analyzing cost variances and implementing corrective actions.

Leadership & Team Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and enhance financial reporting.
- Act as a financial advisor to senior management on critical financial matters and strategic decisions.

Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee internal controls, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in job costing, with a solid understanding of cost drivers within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.
