Vaco is Leading a Search for a Payroll Team Manager on Behalf of a Respected Global Materials Company
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Team Manager who will work as Payroll Manager on behalf of a prominent global company in the materials and specialty chemicals industry This position will have 3-direct reports and will report directly to Payroll Leadership. - Oversee payroll operations for over thousands of employees, ensuring precision, compliance, and efficiency.
- Lead and develop a collaborative team, building a well-rounded payroll staff equipped with both technical and soft skills.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, supporting audits and implementing enhancements.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments on payroll system integrations and improvements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) from PayrollOrg is highly preferred. Certification as a Certified Payroll Manager from the National Payroll Institute is a plus.
- Workday Payroll Processing Experience: Workday payroll processing experience is REQUIRED. Candidates must have hands-on experience with Workday.
- UKG Pro Experience: Experience with UKG Pro is a plus but not required.
- Payroll Management Experience: At least seven years of payroll processing experience in multi-location settings, with a strong grasp of U.S. and Canadian payroll regulations.
- Supervisory Experience: Minimum of three years in a supervisory or management role, with demonstrated success in team leadership and development.
