Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to oversee the accounting operations of the organization. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintains compliance with regulations, and contributes to strategic financial planning. The Controller will manage accounting functions, develop internal controls, and provide key financial insights to support the company’s growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring adherence to GAAP and company policies.
- Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure precise financial reporting.
- Collaborate with senior management to align financial strategies with business goals, identifying opportunities for growth and operational improvements.
- Manage the preparation and coordination of external audits, liaising with auditors to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax requirements, and reporting obligations, including preparing necessary filings and overseeing audits as needed.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital to support day-to-day operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred.
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Multi-site financial operations experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making.
- Proven experience in managing and developing a team, fostering a positive, growth-oriented work environment.
- Strong project management skills, including experience in implementing new financial systems or processes.
