Senior Project Manager – Healthcare

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager to join our healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading large-scale, complex projects in the healthcare sector, with expertise in vendor application management and virtual care initiatives. This individual will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, managing diverse teams, ensuring stakeholder alignment, and delivering measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Manage all aspects of large, complex projects with cross-functional teams of 10 members, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee vendor application projects, maintaining effective relationships and ensuring deliverables align with business needs and contractual agreements.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage OPEX and Capital project budgets, providing accurate forecasts and managing variances to ensure fiscal accountability.
  • Strategic Communication: Present project status, risks, and strategies to senior leadership teams with clarity and professionalism.
  • Planning and Execution: Utilize Microsoft Project to create comprehensive project plans, manage schedules, and ensure adherence to milestones.
  • Healthcare Project Expertise: Lead virtual care and other healthcare-focused projects, leveraging industry knowledge to optimize outcomes and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align project objectives with organizational goals and build consensus.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and implement solutions to improve project delivery and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Senior Project Manager role, with a strong background in healthcare projects.
  • 5 years of experience managing virtual care projects or similar healthcare technology initiatives.
  • Experience managing vendor applications projects in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven success managing large project budgets, including both operational and capital expenditures.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Project for planning and tracking complex projects.
  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership.
  • Highly professional, energetic, and adept at working in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a strategic mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with virtual care platforms and healthcare IT systems.
  • Experience leading multi-site or enterprise-level healthcare initiatives.
