Senior Systems Engineer POST NUMBER: 432670
- We are hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer to work fully onsite at a client in Nashville.
- Ideal candidate will come from an MSP background who is comfortable doing support work in addition to engineering. This role will be working on Tier 1-3 support while creating long-term scalable solutions.
- Direct hire paying up to $130k.
- Implement, and maintain M365 management and device management solutions using Azure and other industry-standard technologies.
- Collaborate with security and networking teams to ensure seamless integration and high-level security of systems and devices.
- Provide technical guidance and support for on-site infrastructure and server management, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement effective monitoring and alerting solutions for system and network performance, security, and availability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to system architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies, tools, and best practices to improve system performance and security.
- Provide technical expertise and support during system outages, incidents, or complex troubleshooting scenarios.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective strategies for technology adoption and integration.
- Continuously update technical knowledge and skills to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in system engineering, with a focus on identity management, device management, and Azure technology infrastructure.
- Experience building and working with Azure File Services and File Syncing from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of on-site infrastructure, server management, and related technologies.
- Demonstrated experience with networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
- Familiarity with information security principles and best practices.
- Proficient in scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python, for automation and configuration management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: M365 Admin certification, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or CompTIA Network , are a plus.
