About the Company 
Our client is a provider of industrial products. They are looking for a Director, Treasury & Business Planning who will be responsible for leading the company’s global treasury and business planning functions, providing strategic oversight of liquidity management, business planning, and financial analysis. This role will oversee the Treasury Manager and Corporate FP&A Manager, ensuring alignment between capital strategy and business performance. The Director will play a critical role in driving financial visibility and decision-making, managing the global budgeting and forecasting process, and supporting strategic initiatives such as corporate development, refinancing, and capital allocation. The ideal candidate will have strong financial and business acumen, leadership capabilities, and a passion for building high-performing teams and scalable processes.

About the Opportunity 
Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal business partners, including senior leadership and divisional finance teams.
  • Ensure alignment between financial planning and liquidity management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Act as a key advisor to the CFO and senior leadership team, providing actionable financial insights and recommendations.
  • Lead and develop the Corporate Treasury and FP&A teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and implement best practices to strengthen the company’s financial processes and strategic capabilities.
 Business Planning & Financial Analysis:
  • Oversee the global budgeting and forecasting process, including coordinating inputs from business units and aligning strategic priorities.
  • Prepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on operational and financial KPIs, providing insights to drive performance improvements.
  • Support the company’s long-term strategic planning process and support scenario analysis to evaluate business opportunities and risks.
  • Seamless collaboration with the Corporate Development team that results in a well-developed (and connected) financial plan.
Treasury Management:
  • Oversee global treasury operations, including cash management, short-term investments, intercompany funding, and foreign exchange transactions.
  • Monitor and report on global liquidity and cash flow positions, ensuring optimal capital allocation and financial flexibility.
  • Develop and maintain a controlled process to produce a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast, including communication of key business drivers and forward looking insights into cash flow expectations across the organization.
  • Manage compliance with financial covenants and lender reporting requirements, including submission of borrowing base certificates.
  • Prepare lender and rating agency presentations and other key deliverables to external stakeholders.
Process Improvement and People Development:
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Leverage technology and automation to drive improvements in treasury and financial planning functions.
Strategic Initiatives:
  • Monitor key global strategic initiatives, including capital projects.
  • Support corporate development activities, including M&A and post-acquisition integration.
  • Lead financial analysis and support for debt refinancing and other capital structure decisions.

About You 
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, or related field
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA
  • 8 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, preferably in a mid to large private or public company.
  • 3 years of people management/leadership experience.
  • Experience in managing complex financial structures and multi-currency environments.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial businesses is an asset.
Salary Range 
$150,000 - $180,000/year
