Role Overview:
In this role, you’ll serve as an essential partner to property owners, reviewing and auditing financial reports submitted by third-party property management companies. Your focus will be on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity across various portfolios. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with experience in property management to grow in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Audit monthly financial reports from third-party property management companies to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with agreed-upon terms.

Leverage Yardi software to cross-check property data, generate reports, and perform financial analysis.

Ensure proper income and expense allocation across multiple portfolios, identifying and addressing discrepancies in reporting.

Work closely with property management teams to resolve any issues or inconsistencies in financial submissions.

Prepare clear and actionable audit reports for owners and stakeholders, highlighting findings and recommendations.

Contribute to the development of standardized financial procedures, templates, and audit checklists.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for various portfolios.

Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory and reporting requirements in property operations.

Support the preparation of year-end financial reports and assist with external audits as needed.
What We’re Looking For:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably with a background in property management or real estate.

Proficiency in Yardi Property Management Software (Yardi Voyager experience is a plus).

Strong grasp of financial reporting, audits, and general accounting principles.

Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with external property management teams and internal stakeholders.

A proactive and independent work ethic, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other financial software is a bonus.
