This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Commercial Operations, Pricing, and Customer Support to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and support business decision-making. The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical expertise in revenue recognition and a proactive approach to process improvement and stakeholder engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute during a phase of company growth, including new product introductions and expansion of the commercial portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on revenue recognition policies and practices in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams such as Market Access, Commercial Finance, Pricing, Trade, and Customer Service to support financial accuracy and strategic business needs.
  • Review commercial agreements and contracts to assess accounting implications and ensure accurate pricing set-up.
  • Track accounts receivable metrics, including Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and follow up on outstanding customer balances to minimize financial risk.
  • Analyze and reconcile inventory and secondary sales data to ensure proper GTN estimation and financial reporting alignment.
  • Lead and support internal and external audit processes related to GTN and revenue accounting.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements for greater efficiency and stronger internal controls.
  • Support ongoing system improvements, including automation and reporting capabilities, across the revenue and GTN cycle.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and documentation relevant to revenue and GTN processes.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
  • At least 5 years of experience in revenue recognition and accounting operations.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and ASC 606 standards.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Experience working with complex pricing models, contracts, and GTN components in a commercial environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build relationships across departments and influence key stakeholders.
  • Customer service mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
