We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and manage the financial operations of our rapidly growing service company. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for overseeing financial strategy, reporting, and analysis while managing a talented team that includes the Finance/Accounting Department, Marketing Department, HR Director, Outsourced IT Provider, Quality/Medical Records and Facilities. This is a key leadership role requiring strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership and Strategy:
- Oversee all financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance financial performance, profitability, and sustainability.
- Develop Annual Operating Plans for the Company and its Departments and Locations. Provide analysis to measure performance against the Operating Plans.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements to senior management.
- Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to support key business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Develop capital expenditure planning to support company growth initiatives.
- Lead and manage back-office teams, including the Finance/Accounting Department, Marketing, Human Resources, Outsourced IT provider, Quality/Medical Records, and Facilities.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for direct reports.
- Foster a collaborative work environment across departments to ensure alignment with overall company goals.
- Ensure seamless integration of accounting, HR, IT, and operational functions to support financial health.
- Provide oversight of affiliates, including a 501c(3) corporation.
- Ensure accurate, timely recording and reporting of all financial transactions in QuickBooks.
- Oversee and implement internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate audits and ensure timely submission of tax filings, as necessary.
- Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Work closely with the HR Director to ensure optimal employee compensation, benefits, performance management and key entity-wide culture initiatives.
- Collaborate with Outsourced IT to maintain robust technology systems that support financial operations and reporting.
- Work with the Director of Quality and Medical Records to ensure the Company’s processes meet regulatory standards.
- Work with the Facilities Manager to maintain cost controls and ensure the workplace meets safety standards.
- Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to drive growth, including identifying and pursuing new revenue opportunities.
- Ensure financial readiness for company expansion, acquisitions, or major capital investments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior financial management position.
- Proven experience with QuickBooks and a strong understanding of accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in accounting, HR, IT, and facilities.
